Fun on Memorial Day, and the Launch of Poetry
We interrupt our usual programming to inform you of a special Metropolitan Review-themed live event this Monday, Memorial Day, in New York City. Megan Gafford, one of TMR’s outstanding contributors, will join Ross Barkan, our intrepid Editor-in-Chief, for a special conversation on the state of art criticism. Hosted by Interintellect Salon, the conversation will take place at 6:30 p.m. at Maxwell Social (135 Watts St.) in Manhattan. You will not want to miss it.
And we have another exciting announcement. Starting this Wednesday, TMR will be open for poetry submissions! Our excellent new poetry editor
will be overseeing the section. We’ve been firing on all cylinders with fiction editor and now we will bring that same energy to poetry. Submit to poetry@metropolitanreview.com.Soon — very soon — we’ll finally be able to share details on our first print issue and the accompanying launch party. The party is going to be a big one.
