I read your review over my morning tea and now think it may have required an afternoon coffee. Gosh, this sounds like a tough read. Your observation towards the end - “If things are so great, then why are they so loud?” - made me think of Russell’s line about anger at opposing opinions being a sign that we may not have very good reasons for our own.
Disturbing but has a truth to it. What struck me was the lack of support structure from family and friends distracted by their day to day activities. AI run plus dehumanizing, what a combo. TBR

Very intense piece of writing. A deeply felt review. Thanks for it.
Sounds like a must-read. And here I was, wondering why things seem so insane. Did this begin in 1492, or was it always thus?
Yes, great review. Putting Grime on the TBR list.
Great book review. I can read German so I'm going to read book this for sure
